Dubai Airshow parking and chauffeur transport
The next Dubai Airshow runs from 15 to 19 November 2027 at the Dubai Airshow Site, on the grounds of Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in Dubai South. At the 2025 show, visitors parked at the airport and rode shuttles, while limousines had their own drop-off zone. Assure drives guests there from hotels, DXB and DWC.

The show runs every two years, so the 2027 edition follows the one held from 17 to 21 November 2025. We update this box when the organiser publishes the 2027 hours and visitor guide.
How do you get to the Dubai Airshow?
The show site sits on the grounds of Al Maktoum International Airport, about 49 km by road from Downtown Dubai. For the 2025 show, the organiser kept visitor cars off the site. There were three ways in:
- Drive and Park and Ride. Every visitor parked at Al Maktoum Airport and took a shuttle to the show site or SkyView. Shuttles ran from 07:00 to 19:00, and until 21:00 on 18 November.
- Metro and shuttle. Red Line to Expo 2020 station, then a free RTA shuttle bus on a continuous loop to the site.
- Drop-off by car. RTA taxis, e-hail cars and limousines each had a designated drop-off and pick-up zone at the site.
These are the 2025 arrangements from the organiser’s FAQ and the Gulf News visitor guide. The organiser has not published the 2027 plan yet.
Where does a chauffeur drop you off?
In 2025, limousines used their own drop-off and pick-up zone at the show site. That puts you at the entrance without the airport car park or the shuttle queue in either direction.
Before you go in, agree the return pickup with your chauffeur. In 2025 the halls closed at 17:30 on four of the five days, so a pickup time just after closing is easy to plan. Your chauffeur sends the exact meeting point on WhatsApp.
Is there parking at the Airshow?
Not for visitors at the show site in 2025. Driving yourself meant parking at Al Maktoum Airport, waiting for a Park and Ride shuttle, and repeating both at closing time. The organiser’s FAQ also lists separate free parking for the public SkyView area, first come, first served, from 09:00.
A chauffeur-driven car skips both shuttle legs. It also suits delegations moving between the halls, a hotel in the city and dinner, where one car on standby does all three.
Getting there by Metro
Expo 2020 is the nearest Metro station, on the Red Line. In 2025 the RTA ran free shuttle buses from Expo 2020 station to the show site on all five show days. The 2027 shuttle timings are not announced yet.
Road closures and traffic
No road closures are listed for the 2027 show yet. Check the RTA’s channels in show week. Most drives from the city use Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) or Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) before the roads into Dubai South, and your chauffeur picks the road by the traffic on the day.
Drive times to the show site
Road distance and free-flow drive time to Al Maktoum International Airport. The show site is on the same airport grounds, so allow a few minutes more, and more again in morning traffic.
| From | Road distance | Without traffic |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai International (DXB) | about 61 km | about 1 h 10 min |
| Downtown Dubai | about 49 km | about 50 min |
| Dubai Marina | about 32 km | about 40 min |
| Palm Jumeirah | about 38 km | about 40 min |
| Sharjah city | about 71 km | about 1 h 10 min |
| Abu Dhabi city | about 118 km | about 1 h 25 min |
| Zayed International (AUH) | about 94 km | about 1 h 15 min |

The show is at Dubai World Central, so our Al Maktoum DWC airport guide is worth a read. Delegates arriving by business jet can see the private jet arrival process in the UAE, and DXB arrivals are covered in DXB terminals by airline.
Flying in for the show

Al Maktoum International is the airport next door to the show site, and our DWC arrivals and transfers page covers where your chauffeur meets you there. If you land at Dubai International instead, about 61 km away, an airport pickup at DXB can run straight to your hotel or the show. Business aviation guests can book a car through our private jet terminal service.
Staying in Abu Dhabi for the week? The show site is about 118 km from the capital, and our Dubai to Abu Dhabi route page explains how the daily run works.
Options for Airshow week
- Hotel to show and back: a sedan or SUV each day, with the return pickup agreed on WhatsApp.
- Hourly standby: the chauffeur stays near the site and comes to the drop-off zone when you message.
- Airport plus show: a meet-and-greet pickup at DXB or DWC, with your name on a board in arrivals, then on to the show or your hotel.
- Team and delegation shuttles: Mercedes Sprinter minibuses with 13 or 19 seats from the Assure fleet. 35-seat and 50-seat coaches are available through our partner network, subject to availability. See coach and bus hire for sizes.
- VIP cars: Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series or Cadillac Escalade for principals and guests. Exhibitors running cars for a whole team can set up a corporate account with monthly invoicing.
Booking lead time and what sets the price
Prices are quoted on WhatsApp. These factors set the quote.
- the number of show days and hours per day
- standby, or drop-off and return only
- the vehicle class and the number of cars
- where you stay: a Sharjah or Abu Dhabi hotel adds distance
- airport legs added to the plan
- starts before 07:00 or a late evening session
Message us once your badges and hotel are booked, with your show days, daily schedule, passenger count and whether you need standby. The 2027 hours and drop-off zones are not out yet, so the plan is checked against the organiser’s visitor guide nearer the show. Delegations larger than our 19-seat Sprinter rely on partner coaches, so they gain most from asking early. See every show we cover on the events chauffeur page.

Questions and answers
How do I get to Dubai Airshow?
The show site is on the grounds of Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in Dubai South. In 2025 there were three ways in: park at Al Maktoum Airport and take the Park and Ride shuttle, ride the Metro Red Line to Expo 2020 station and take the free RTA shuttle, or arrive by taxi, e-hail car or limousine at the site's own drop-off zone.
Where is the drop-off for Dubai Airshow?
At the 2025 show, RTA taxis, e-hail cars and limousines each had designated drop-off and pick-up zones at the show site, so passengers did not need the airport car park or the shuttle. The 2027 zones and gates are not published yet. Your chauffeur confirms the drop-off on the day and sends the return pickup point on WhatsApp.
Is there parking at Dubai Airshow?
Not at the show site for visitors in 2025. The organiser required all visitors to park at Al Maktoum Airport and ride Park and Ride shuttles, which ran from 07:00 to 19:00, and until 21:00 on 18 November. The 2027 parking plan has not been announced. Being dropped at the site avoids the car park and both shuttle legs.
Can you park at the Airshow site itself?
Visitors could not in 2025: everyone parked at Al Maktoum Airport and took a shuttle. The 2025 FAQ also described separate free parking for the public SkyView area, opening at 09:00, first come, first served. Check the organiser's 2027 visitor guide before you drive yourself, because the plan can change between editions.
How do you get to Dubai Airshow by Metro?
Take the Red Line to Expo 2020 station, the nearest station to the show. In 2025, the RTA ran free shuttle buses on a continuous loop from Expo 2020 station to the show site from 17 to 21 November. The 2027 shuttle times are not published yet, so check the organiser's FAQ in show week.
Can a taxi or chauffeur drop you at the Airshow gates?
Yes, in 2025. The organiser set aside drop-off and pick-up zones at the site for RTA taxis, e-hail services such as Uber and Careem, and limousines. A pre-booked chauffeur uses the limousine zone and can wait nearby on hourly standby. The exact 2027 zone will be confirmed once the organiser publishes its visitor information.
Can the public attend Dubai Airshow?
The main exhibition is a trade show for industry professionals, and you may be asked for a business card. Under-18s are not admitted to the main halls. In 2025 the public could buy tickets for SkyView, a separate area for the flying display. Check the 2027 ticket types on the official site before you plan transport.
