The Emirates Dubai 7s is three days of rugby and music at The Sevens Stadium, out in the desert on the road to Al Ain. Getting there is the easy half. Getting a group home together after the last set takes a plan.
When is the Dubai 7s 2026?
| Day | Date | What is on |
|---|---|---|
| Friday | 27 November | Family Friday: local and invitational rugby, youth finals and an extended kids’ zone |
| Saturday | 28 November | Day 1 of HSBC SVNS international rugby on Pitch 1, plus headline music |
| Sunday | 29 November | HSBC SVNS finals and trophy presentation, plus headline music |
A weekend ticket covers all three days. The organiser says Friday is general admission only, and under-15s go free that day. The Beats on 2 stage has Jax Jones on Saturday and a Melanie C DJ set on Sunday, with more acts still to be named.
Where is The Sevens Stadium?

The stadium is on the E66 Dubai to Al Ain Road, near its junction with the E77 Jebel Ali to Lahbab Road. It opened in 2008 and has eight pitches. Pitch 1 is the main ground, with 4,000 permanent seats, expandable to 37,500.
Each gate has a job.
| Gate | Who uses it |
|---|---|
| Gate 10 | General admission |
| Gate 9 | People of Determination, with their parking |
| Gate 7 | Invitational players, media and staff |
| Gate 6 | VIP |
| Gate 4 | Cricket |
How long is the drive from Dubai?

The organiser publishes its own drive times. OSRM road figures, checked on 17 October 2026, are longer for some areas.
| From | Road distance (OSRM) | Without traffic (OSRM) | Organiser’s estimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Downtown Dubai | about 37 km | about 34 minutes | not given |
| Business Bay | about 39 km | about 35 minutes | 29 minutes |
| Dubai Marina | about 52 km | about 46 minutes | 35 minutes |
| Palm Jumeirah | about 51 km | about 46 minutes | not given |
| Dubai International (DXB) | about 42 km | about 48 minutes | 28 minutes |
Landing at DXB for the weekend? An airport pickup at Dubai International can drop your bags at the hotel and go straight on to the stadium.
Can you park at the Sevens?
Yes. The organiser’s travel page lists 15,000 on-site spaces for ticket holders who drive. Its FAQ says general public parking is free in designated areas. People of Determination park at Gate 9, which also has an accessible drop-off.
Free parking makes a van with a driver practical. The driver parks with everyone else and brings the van back for the agreed return time. No one in your group has to drive home after a day in the fan zones.
Are there shuttle buses to the Dubai 7s?
The organiser lists free buses for the trip home, not for the trip out. On its travel page they run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 7pm to 1.30am, every 15 minutes. Leave by the main exit, turn left through the arch and follow the BUSES signs.
The buses stop at five points.
- DMCC Metro station, in JLT
- Dubai Sports City
- Dubai Studio City
- Financial Centre Metro station, in DIFC
- Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium
From those stops you still need a Metro, a taxi or a walk to your hotel. The organiser’s FAQ says bus details are confirmed closer to the event, so check the travel page again in the week of the 7s.
Taxis, ride-hailing and drop-off
RTA taxis use a dedicated drop-off point and a taxi rank. To find the rank on the way out, leave by the main exit, turn right under the arch and follow the TAXI signs. Taxis wait there all evening.
Careem and Uber drivers use the Drop Off and Pick Up Only area near the main entrance. The organiser does not publish a separate point for private hire vans as of 17 October 2026. Your driver follows the marshals on the day and sends you the exact spot on WhatsApp.
Getting a group there and back: a van, a minibus or several taxis?
A group of 10 in taxis needs several cars, and each one joins the rank queue at the end of the night. One vehicle keeps the group together and leaves when you do.
| Group size | Vehicle | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 6 | Mercedes-Benz V-Class, Kia Carnival, Hyundai Staria or Citroen SpaceTourer | Assure fleet |
| Up to 6, more luggage room | GMC Yukon or Cadillac Escalade | Assure fleet |
| 7 to 13 | Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, 13 seats | Assure fleet |
| 14 to 19 | Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, 19 seats | Assure fleet |
| Up to 22 | Toyota Coaster | Available through our partner network, subject to availability |
| 35 or 50 | Coach | Available through our partner network, subject to availability |

Compare the vans on our van and group transport page and the 13 and 19 seat options under minibus rental. For a club or company outing on coaches, see bus rental. The vans in the fleet and the minibuses pages list seats and bags for each model.
Small parties can book a car with driver by the hour, with the car parked on site for the day. A limousine suits a hospitality guest arriving at Gate 6.
Leaving after the evening concerts
The organiser sets last entry at 8pm and allows no re-entry after 9pm. The free buses run until 1.30am, and RTA taxis wait at the rank all evening.
Plan the exit before you go in:
- Agree a pickup time with your driver, such as 30 minutes after the last set.
- Fix a meeting point outside the main exit, away from the taxi and bus queues.
- Pin the van’s spot in the car park on your phone.
- Keep one person in charge of the WhatsApp chat with the driver.
Sevens weekend checklist
- Tickets in the Emirates Dubai 7s app wallet. Printed tickets and screenshots are not accepted.
- One small bag per person: backpacks are scanned in the Bag lanes, and there are no lockers.
- No outside food or drink, apart from baby food.
- The gate you need: Gate 10 for general admission.
- The driver’s WhatsApp number and the return time you agreed.
- Sun cover for the day sessions and a layer for the late finish.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix follows a week later, from 4 to 6 December. Our Grand Prix visitor guide covers that weekend. The UAE events calendar and our events chauffeur service cover the rest of the season.
