Who the 7 Series suits, and when to go bigger

BMW gives the 7 Series a 540 L boot, larger than the 505 L of the Audi A8 L or the 430 L of the Lexus LS. With 3 passengers in the rear, plan on 2 large suitcases and 2 cabin bags. Two business travellers with cases and laptop bags fit with a rear seat to spare.

BMW builds the car in petrol, plug-in hybrid and fully electric i7 versions.
