Madinat Jumeirah is a resort on the Jumeirah coast with its own Conference Centre. In a single year it can host a heads-of-government summit in February and an art fair in April, and both bring executives, delegations and collectors who need a clean arrival.
What is on at the Conference Centre in 2027?
| Event | Dates | Who comes |
|---|---|---|
| World Governments Summit | 1 to 3 February 2027, Dubai | Ministers, delegations, officials |
| Art Dubai, preview days | 7 and 8 April 2027 | Collectors, gallerists, invited guests |
| Art Dubai, public days | 9 to 11 April 2027 | Visitors with tickets |
The summit organiser has announced the dates, but the announcement we checked does not name a venue. Confirm it with your accreditation team. Art Dubai names Madinat Jumeirah as its venue for 2027.
How long is the drive from Dubai?
Distances are road figures from OSRM (OpenStreetMap), checked on 17 October 2026, to the resort area. Peak traffic adds time.
| From | Road distance | Without traffic |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai International (DXB) | about 29 km | about 27 minutes |
| Downtown Dubai | about 15 km | about 15 minutes |
| Business Bay | about 13 km | about 14 minutes |
| DIFC | about 17 km | about 16 minutes |
| Dubai Marina | about 15 km | about 18 minutes |
| Palm Jumeirah | about 10 km | about 16 minutes |
| Al Maktoum International (DWC) | about 40 km | about 43 minutes |
Landing for a summit? An airport pickup at Dubai International puts you in the car within minutes of customs, and your driver follows the live landing time.

Drop-off, parking and the first-morning problem
Summit and fair mornings bring a queue of official cars to one entrance. The organiser sets the vehicle access plan, and it often changes between editions. Ask for it in writing and pass it to your driver.
We do not publish parking numbers for the venue, because no official figure was available on 17 October 2026. A chauffeur sidesteps the issue: the car drops you at the entrance and holds a nearby waiting spot until you call. For the same reason, our guide to parking and drop-off at the World Trade Centre is worth reading as a model for what to ask any organiser.

Which service suits which delegate?
- A minister or CEO: a limousine with a chauffeur, with the driver briefed on the entrance and the exit route.
- A visiting delegation: a corporate transport plan with named drivers, one meeting point and a printed schedule. See the delegation transport guide.
- A gallery team with crates and staff: the exhibitor team transport plan covers load-in times and van runs.
- Anyone attending by the day: a car with driver by the hour, so one car handles the morning drop and the evening pickup.

Planning the day
- Send the accreditation or ticket type, the hotel and the session times on WhatsApp.
- Ask the organiser for the vehicle access instructions and share them with your driver.
- Agree a pickup window, such as 20 minutes after the last session, rather than an exact minute.
- Keep one person in charge of the chat with the driver.
Weddings use the same coast and the same roads. For that traffic pattern, see the Umm Suqeim wedding venues arrival guide. For the wider picture of what is on in Dubai, use the UAE events calendar and the events we cover.
