Of the two Sprinter layouts Assure runs, this is the one for groups with luggage. With all 13 seats taken, it still carries 6 large suitcases and 6 cabin bags. The 19-seat Sprinter adds 6 seats but cuts the large-case space to 3.

• A good fit: 8 to 13 people where about half check a large suitcase. A project team flying in for a week, or two families sharing one arrival, sits well in it.

• Not enough luggage room: 13 travellers who each bring a large suitcase. Thirteen cases will not go into a 6-case space, so plan a second vehicle for bags or split the group.

Two V-Class vans carry 12 people and 8 large cases between them, against 13 people and 6 cases in one Sprinter. The pair suits a bag-heavy group. Inside the cabin

• High roof: more headroom than a standard-height van when you move between the rows.
• Sliding side door: passengers board through a door that slides along the body instead of swinging open.
• Roof-mounted rear air conditioning: the back rows get their own cooled air, not only what reaches them from the dashboard vents.
• No wheelchair ramp: tell us before booking if anyone travels with a wheelchair.
