Private tours with your own car and driver
An Assure private tour gives your group its own car and chauffeur for the hours you book, from a Dubai hotel, home, DXB or a cruise terminal. You choose the stops: Old Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hatta, Jebel Jais, the east coast or Musandam. Cars run from a 3-seat Lexus to a 19-seat Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Quotes come back on WhatsApp.

The day, stop by stop
Times are a guide. Your driver keeps to your group's pace.
Pickup at your address
A Dubai hotel or home, DXB or DWC arrivals, or the cruise terminal at Mina Rashid or Dubai Harbour.
The first sight on your list
Al Fahidi in Old Dubai is 9 km from Downtown. Hatta is 109 km and Jebel Jais 154 km.
Further stops chosen by your group
The chauffeur drops you at each entrance and waits nearby until you message.
Lunch where you like
Name the restaurant, or ask the chauffeur for one on the route.
Drop-off anywhere you choose
Your hotel, a dinner booking, DXB departures, or Zayed International (AUH), 115 km from Downtown Dubai.
What the trip includes
Included
- Private car and chauffeur for your group for the booked hours
- Stops chosen by your group, in the order that suits the roads
- Waiting at each stop, with any luggage kept in the car
- Pickup and drop-off at the addresses you give
Not included
- Entry tickets and activities
- Meals and drinks
- A licensed tour guide, available on request where one is free on your date
What to bring
- A list of the places you want to see, or a rough idea of the day
- Your original passport for Musandam, which is in Oman
- Clothes that cover arms and legs for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, with a headscarf for women
- Tickets you have already bought, so the day can be timed around them
How a private tour works
- Tell us the day you want. Send the date, the number of people, your pickup address and the places on your list. A rough idea is enough: “Old Dubai in the morning, the beach after lunch”.
- We plan the order and the hours. The stops are set around distance and traffic, and the quote states the car, the hours, the start and the finish.
- The car is yours for those hours. Your chauffeur collects you, drops you at each entrance and waits until you message that you are ready.
Nobody else joins the car, and there is no pickup loop round other hotels.
Sample private days from Dubai
The distances run from Downtown Dubai by road, without traffic, from OpenStreetMap routing. Hours are a guide, with the stops included.
| Day | What you see | From Downtown Dubai | Hours to book |
|---|---|---|---|
| Old Dubai and the coast | Al Fahidi, the abra, the Deira souks, the Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah | 9 km to Al Fahidi | 4 to 8 |
| Abu Dhabi | Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Watan, Louvre Abu Dhabi | 129 km to the mosque, 1 h 25 min | about 10 |
| Hatta | Hatta Dam, kayaks, Hatta Heritage Village | 109 km, 1 h 26 min | about 8 |
| Jebel Jais | The mountain road, viewing decks, Jais Flight | 154 km, 2 h 03 min | about 10 |
| East coast | Fujairah Fort, Al Bidiya Mosque, Snoopy Island | 120 km, 1 h 29 min | about 9 |
| Musandam via Dibba | Dhow cruise along the Musandam coast | 146 km, 1 h 51 min | about 10 |
| Desert evening | Dune drive in a 4x4, sunset, camp dinner | 48 km to Lahbab, 43 min | about 6 |
Two of these have set plans of their own. The Dubai city tour lists every stop in Old and New Dubai with the minutes at each. The Abu Dhabi city tour can finish at Zayed International or an Abu Dhabi hotel instead of driving back.
For the mountains, see the Hatta day trip and Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah. The desert evening runs as a private desert safari, with a 4x4 for the dunes. A Musandam trip crosses into Oman, so every passenger needs an original passport.
Which car for your group
Hourly, half-day and full-day rates differ by class and are quoted on WhatsApp. Bag counts are large checked suitcases with every seat in use.
| Class | Models | Passengers | Large suitcases |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | Lexus ES 300h | 3 | 2 |
| First class sedan | Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series | 3 | 2 |
| Luxury SUV | GMC Yukon, Cadillac Escalade | 6 | 3 |
| Van | Mercedes-Benz V-Class | 6 | 4 |
| Van | Kia Carnival, Citroen SpaceTourer | 6 | 3 |
| Van | Hyundai Staria | 6 | 2 |
| Minibus | Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, 13 seats | 13 | 6 |
| Minibus | Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, 19 seats | 19 | 3 |
Larger groups can book a Toyota Coaster or a 35 or 50 seat coach, and a Rolls-Royce or Bentley for a special day. These are available through our partner network, subject to availability. The fleet page shows each car with its photos and seats.
What your chauffeur does, and what a guide does
Your chauffeur:
- drives the route and sets the order of stops by distance and traffic
- drops you at each entrance and waits nearby
- keeps your bags locked in the car between stops
- tells you how long the next leg takes, so you know when to leave
A licensed tour guide is a separate person. In Dubai, guiding tourists at sites needs a licence badge from the emirate’s tourism department. The Bylaw of 2000 requires each guide to pass the department’s award programme, renew the badge every year and wear it on duty. Ask for a guide, and the language you need, when you request your quote.
What sets the price
Assure shows no prices on the site. Each private tour is quoted on WhatsApp from these factors.
| Factor | Example |
|---|---|
| The car class | A Lexus ES 300h for 2, or a 19-seat Sprinter for a family reunion |
| Hours | 4 to 5 for Old Dubai, 10 for Jebel Jais |
| Distance | Jebel Jais is 154 km each way; Al Fahidi is 9 km |
| Start and finish | A one-way finish at AUH, 115 km from Downtown Dubai |
| Tickets added | Jais Flight, a dhow dinner, Louvre Abu Dhabi |
| Time of day | A pre-dawn start for Hatta, or a return after midnight |
Age, health and dress to check
- The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: women wear loose clothes to the ankles, sleeves to the wrists and a headscarf. Men may wear any style, with the whole leg covered preferred. Nobody wears tight, see-through or sleeveless clothes.
- Musandam: an original passport for every passenger, including children.
- Long days: Jebel Jais and Musandam put about 4 hours of driving into the day. With small children, Hatta is the shorter mountain day, at 109 km.
- Heat: from May to September, keep outdoor stops for before 10:00 or after 16:30.
- Children: send each child’s age when you ask for a quote and ask for child seats; we confirm them with the quote.
Starting from your flight or cruise ship
A private tour can start the moment you arrive. At DXB or DWC, your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with your name on a board and loads the bags. Cruise passengers start at Mina Rashid or Dubai Harbour. The tour then ends at your hotel, after check-in time.
To keep a car for meetings or shopping, with no sightseeing plan, book a car and chauffeur by the hour instead.
How to book

Assure is RTA licensed, with 10+ years running chauffeur cars from Dubai, and answers WhatsApp and phone 24/7 while your tour is on the road.
Private vs shared tours in the UAE compares the two formats, and tour guide or driver helps you choose between a guide and a driver.
Add an airport transfer
Landing the same day? The same booking can include your pickup from any UAE airport, with your name on a board in arrivals.
Questions and answers
Can I hire a private tour guide in Dubai?
Yes, but only a licensed one can guide you at the sites. Under Dubai's Bylaw of 2000, a tour guide must complete the tourism department's award programme, hold a licence badge renewed every year and wear it on duty. Ask for a guide when you request your quote, with the language you need, and we tell you whether one is free on your date.
What does the chauffeur do on a private tour?
The chauffeur drives, plans the order of stops around distance and traffic, drops you at each entrance and waits nearby. Bags stay locked in the car between stops. The chauffeur does not guide you inside sites, because that is a licensed job in Dubai, and does not drive on the dunes. Dune driving is done in a 4x4 on the private desert safari.
How many hours should I book for a private tour?
It depends on the distance to your first sight. Around Dubai, 4 to 5 hours covers Old Dubai or the coast from the Burj Al Arab to the Marina. A day out of the city needs 8 to 10 hours. Hatta is 109 km from Downtown, Jebel Jais 154 km and the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi 129 km, each way.
Which car fits a family of 6 with luggage?
A Mercedes-Benz V-Class seats 6 and takes 4 large suitcases with every seat in use. A GMC Yukon or Cadillac Escalade also seats 6, with room for 3 large cases. For a day of sightseeing with no luggage, any of the three works. For 7 to 13 people, the 13-seat Mercedes-Benz Sprinter keeps the group in one vehicle.
Can a private tour start at the airport or a cruise ship?
Yes. Your chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall at DXB or DWC with your name on a board, loads the bags and starts the day from there. Cruise passengers start at Mina Rashid or Dubai Harbour. Give us the flight number or ship name, the number of bags and the hotel, and the tour can end at the hotel check-in.
Can we change the stops on the day?
Tell the chauffeur, or send the change on WhatsApp. A swap inside the same area usually fits the hours you booked. A change that adds distance, such as Hatta instead of the Dubai Marina, changes the quote, and we tell you how in the chat before the car sets off.
Can a private tour leave the UAE?
Musandam is the trip most visitors ask for. It is part of Oman, about 146 km from Downtown Dubai to Dibba. Every passenger needs an original passport, so check the entry rules for your nationality before you book. Longer trips into Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar or Bahrain are on request, and we confirm each route with the quote.
How is a private tour different from booking a car by the hour?
The car and chauffeur are the same. A private tour is planned around sights: we set the order of stops, the time at each and any tickets before the day. Booking a car by the hour suits meetings, shopping or errands, where you tell the chauffeur where to go as the day goes on. You can mix the two across one trip.
