Dubai Airport meet and greet explained: marhaba fast track vs a chauffeur name-board pickup

Dubai airport meet and greet at Dubai International (DXB) means one of two services. marhaba, a paid airport service, can meet you at the aircraft gate and take you through fast-track immigration. An Assure chauffeur waits in the public arrivals hall with your name on a board and drives you to your hotel. You can book both.

Two services share one name

Search for meet and greet at Dubai Airport and you find two different products. They start at different points in the terminal.

  • Airport meet and greet happens on the secure side. A marhaba host meets you at the aircraft gate and takes you through passport control by the fast-track counter.
  • A chauffeur pickup happens on the public side. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall, after customs, holding a board with your name, then drives you away.

Neither replaces the other. marhaba handles the airport formalities, and the chauffeur handles the road. Our Dubai arrival guide shows where each step falls between the aircraft and the kerb.

What does marhaba meet and greet include at DXB?

marhaba sells 6 arrival tiers at Dubai International. Prices below are the “from” prices per person, including 5% VAT, as listed on marhabaservices.com on 17 October 2026.

Tier From, per person What it includes
Fast Track AED 105 Access to the fast-track immigration counter, without a host
Silver AED 136.50 A host at the arrival gate, an escort through fast track to the meeting point, one porter at baggage reclaim, a buggy on request
Family AED 225.75 Silver, plus a dedicated one-to-one host and multilingual guides on request
Gold AED 273 Silver, plus a dedicated host, a porter from reclaim to the meeting point and lounge access for your return flight
Elite AED 1,102.50 A gate meet, a porter from the gate, fast track, a dedicated host and a chauffeur-driven car
Family Elite AED 1,638 Elite, set up for a family group

marhaba says prices vary by airport and terminal. Dubai Airports lists marhaba locations in Terminal 1 arrivals and Terminal 3 arrivals. Only the Elite tiers include a car, so every other tier ends at the meeting point in the arrivals hall.

An Assure pickup starts where marhaba stops. This is what it covers at DXB Terminals 1, 2 and 3:

  • A board with your name in the arrivals hall of your terminal.
  • A personal welcome from the chauffeur for VIP guests.
  • The pickup timed to your real landing time, from the flight number you send.
  • Waiting time after landing, with the minutes stated in your quote.
  • Help with your bags from the hall to the terminal car park, because Dubai Airports has no pick-up area at arrivals.
  • The car you chose, from a Lexus ES 300h for 3 passengers to a 19-seat Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
  • Child seats on request, if you give the child’s age when you book.

It does not include fast track. You queue at passport control or use the smart gates like any other traveller. Our DXB pickup page shows the meeting point and car park for each terminal.

A resident on a short business trip. UAE residents can use the smart gates, so fast track matters less. A chauffeur in the hall and a sedan or a limousine with an S-Class or 7 Series covers it.

A family with young children. Dubai Airports sends families with children to the staffed counters, not the smart gates. marhaba Family adds a one-to-one host through fast track. Pair it with a Mercedes-Benz V-Class, which seats 6 with 4 large cases, and ask for child seats.

A chairman or a VIP guest. marhaba Gold gives a dedicated host from the gate and a porter to the meeting point. Your chauffeur waits at that meeting point and welcomes the guest personally. Tell us the marhaba booking, so both teams expect the same exit.

An Emirates First or Business passenger. Check your ticket first, because it may include an Emirates Chauffeur-drive car. A separate chauffeur still helps if your party needs 2 cars, a 6-seat SUV or a driver for the whole day. Our guide to Emirates and Etihad chauffeur cars explains the airline rules.

DXB Greet and Go at Terminal 3

Dubai Airports announced DXB Greet and Go for Terminal 3 arrivals on 9 July 2025. It replaces paging in the hall with a QR code.

  1. A licensed hotel, limousine company or tour operator registers its drivers and cars on the Greet and Go portal.
  2. The provider sends you a personal QR code before you fly.
  3. In the Terminal 3 arrivals area you scan the code at the kiosk.
  4. The screen shows your driver, the car registration and the parking spot.
  5. Multilingual staff walk you to the car.

Registration asks for a trade licence, and approval can take up to 24 hours. Dubai Airports has not published a charge for guests. Ask us on WhatsApp whether your Terminal 3 pickup runs through the kiosk or the name board. The Terminal 3 arrivals guide follows the walk from the gate to the arrivals hall and the car park.

Other VIP arrival options in Dubai

  • marhaba Elite: a host from the gate, fast track, a porter and a chauffeur-driven car, sold per person.
  • Al Majlis: a Dubai Airports VIP facility listed at Terminal 3 departures, with fast-track check-in, immigration and baggage.
  • Emirates Chauffeur-drive: included with many First and Business Class tickets, booked at least 10 hours ahead.
  • Private terminals: private flights land at FBOs such as Jetex in the VIP Terminal at Al Maktoum International, which lists customs and immigration on site and 24/7 operations.

For a private flight, your chauffeur waits at the FBO, not the main terminal. Our private jet arrival guide covers the handover at DWC, DXB and Al Bateen.

How to book a name-board pickup with Assure

Send these on WhatsApp to +971 56 684 8148, answered 24/7:

  1. Flight number, date and terminal.
  2. The name to print on the board: the guest, or a company name if you prefer.
  3. Passengers, large suitcases and any child seats.
  4. Any marhaba or Emirates booking, so the chauffeur waits at the right handover point.
  5. The drop-off address and any stops.

The quote comes back for the whole car, with the waiting time written in. Our step-by-step on booking a chauffeur over WhatsApp covers the rest of the conversation. To compare drivers and companies before you book, read hiring a chauffeur in Dubai. If the guest stays on for meetings, the chauffeur service keeps the same car and driver by the hour. Our guide to every UAE airport covers meet and greet at Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the northern airports too.

Questions and answers

What is included in the airport meet and greet?

It depends which one you book. marhaba's arrival tiers at DXB range from fast-track counter access alone to a gate meet, an escort through fast track, a porter and, on Elite, a car. An Assure chauffeur pickup covers the arrivals hall onwards: a board with your name, help with your bags to the car park and the drive, timed to your real landing time.

How does airport meet and greet work at Dubai airport?

With marhaba, a host meets you at the aircraft gate, walks you through the fast-track immigration counter and stays with you to the meeting point in the arrivals hall. With a chauffeur, you clear the airport yourself and find your name on a board in the public hall. If you book both, marhaba hands you to the chauffeur at that meeting point.

How much is marhaba at Dubai airport?

marhaba lists its DXB arrival tiers per person, including 5% VAT. On 17 October 2026 the site showed Fast Track from AED 105, Silver from AED 136.50, Family from AED 225.75, Gold from AED 273 and Elite from AED 1,102.50. Prices vary by terminal and date, so check the live price when you book.

What is Greet and Go in Dubai airport?

DXB Greet and Go is a pickup kiosk in Terminal 3 arrivals, announced by Dubai Airports on 9 July 2025. Licensed hotels, limousine companies and tour operators register their drivers and cars, then send each guest a QR code. You scan it at the kiosk, see your driver's details, car number and parking spot, and staff walk you to the car.

What are the charges for Greet and Go at DXB?

Dubai Airports has not published a charge for guests. The July 2025 announcement and the DXB Greet and Go site describe it as a service that licensed hotels, limousine companies and tour operators sign up to, with a trade licence and an approval step. Your provider sends you the QR code, so ask them whether it applies to your pickup.

What VIP airport services are available in Dubai?

At DXB there is marhaba meet and greet, with Gold and Elite as its top arrival tiers, and Al Majlis, a VIP facility Dubai Airports lists at Terminal 3 departures. Emirates First and Business Class tickets can include a Chauffeur-drive car. Private flights use FBOs such as Jetex at Al Maktoum International, which has customs and immigration on site.

Is Emirates chauffeur service free?

Emirates includes Chauffeur-drive with many First and Business Class tickets, within a mileage limit in most cities. It is not offered with Skywards Classic Rewards or Economy-to-Business upgrades. A larger car, a child seat or extra distance cost more. Emirates asks you to book at least 10 hours before the flight, and its driver waits up to 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time.

Can my chauffeur meet me at the aircraft gate?

No. A chauffeur waits on the public side of the terminal, in the arrivals hall after customs, because the gate is inside the secure area. For a welcome at the gate, book a marhaba tier from Silver up. Tell us when you book, and your Assure chauffeur waits at the marhaba meeting point instead of the general exit.
