How a helicopter tour works with Assure
HeliDubai flies sightseeing tours from its helipad inside Dubai Police Academy in Al Sufouh 1, opposite Mall of the Emirates. Its helicopters take up to 5 passengers. You can book one seat on a shared flight, or the whole helicopter for your group.
Assure handles the ground. A private car collects you from your hotel or home, gets you to the helipad in time for the 45-minute check-in, and brings you back after landing. If you want us to book the flight as well, the quote covers both, so the timing of the car and the flight is set in one place.

| 17-minute Palm tour | 17 min | Burj Al Arab, The World Islands, Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis The Palm, the Jumeirah coast, Port Rashid and Burj Khalifa | AED 945 | AED 4,725 |

These are HeliDubai’s prices as listed on its site on 17 October 2026, not Assure prices. HeliDubai’s FAQ also mentioned a promotional 12-minute shared fare of AED 568 at the time, and its terms add surcharges on festive dates. The car is quoted separately on WhatsApp.

Which flight suits you
- 12 minutes: a first flight, a family with young children, or a slot before lunch at Mall of the Emirates across the road.
- 17 minutes: the Palm route. HeliDubai lists Atlantis The Palm, Burj Al Arab, The World Islands, Port Rashid and Burj Khalifa on it.
- 22 minutes and longer: for seeing the older city as well as the new coast. The 40-minute route is sold as a private flight only.
A private helicopter seats 5. That group fits in one GMC Yukon or Cadillac Escalade from the Assure fleet, which take up to 6 passengers. Both are on our luxury SUVs with chauffeur page.

Getting to the helipad
The helipad sits on the Al Sufouh side of Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), opposite Mall of the Emirates. Distances below are to the mall, by road and without traffic.
| From | Road distance | Drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Palm Jumeirah | 8 km | about 11 min |
| Dubai Marina | 9 km | about 12 min |
| Downtown Dubai | 16 km | about 16 min |
| Dubai International (DXB) | 35 km | about 45 to 50 min |
Allow extra time at rush hour on Sheikh Zayed Road; the pickup time builds in a margin. Arriving late for check-in can cost the flight: HeliDubai charges no-shows in full.

Age, weight, pregnancy and what you can carry
HeliDubai’s terms set these rules for every passenger.
- Children: from age 2, with a seat of their own. No child sits on a lap, and children aged 2 to 12 fly with a guardian.
- Weight: the safety limit is 115 kg per passenger per seat. Nobody over 140 kg can fly, and passengers close to the limit may only be offered a non-refundable ticket.
- Pregnancy: from 7 months, bring a doctor’s certificate stating you are fit to fly.
- ID: every passenger shows government-issued photo ID at check-in.
- Bags: large bags and handbags go into lockers at the helipad. A small bag for medical needs may be allowed.
- On board: wear secure shoes and avoid loose clothing and hats. Selfie sticks and long camera lenses are not allowed.

Cancellations and weather
HeliDubai’s terms charge nothing for cancelling more than 48 hours ahead. Under 48 hours costs 50 percent of the booking, under 24 hours costs the full price, and no-shows pay in full. Its tour listings mention free cancellation up to 24 hours, so check the terms that apply on the day you book.
If weather, visibility or air traffic control stops the flight, HeliDubai can cancel at short notice with no charge, and you choose a new slot or a refund. Your quote states the car’s terms; ask us to move the car to the new slot.
Arrive in a Rolls-Royce, or straight from the airport
For a birthday or a proposal flight, the car can match the occasion. A Rolls-Royce Ghost or Cullinan is available through our partner network, subject to availability, on the ultra-luxury and exotic fleet page.
If you land the same day, your chauffeur meets you in DXB arrivals with your name on a board, and your suitcases ride in the boot while you fly. The DXB arrivals page shows where the chauffeur waits at each terminal.
Make a day of it
A morning flight leaves the afternoon free. Pair it with an evening desert safari, which picks up mid-afternoon, or a Dubai city tour at ground level. To compare the city from a helicopter with the desert from a balloon at dawn, see the hot air balloon ride.
If you want one car for the whole day, with the helipad as one of the stops, book a car with driver by the hour. This page covers flights from Dubai; for a helicopter flight over Abu Dhabi, ask us before you plan around it.
How to book
- Send the flight you want, the date, a preferred time and the number of passengers on WhatsApp to +971 56 684 8148 or in the trip form.
- Add each passenger’s approximate weight band and every child’s age, so we can check HeliDubai’s rules first.
- The quote gives the pickup time, the car and, if we book it, the flight. A reply in that chat confirms the booking.
Helicopter, seaplane or balloon in Dubai compares the three flights. Dubai weather by month helps you pick a month.

Landing the same day? The same booking can include your pickup from any UAE airport, with your name on a board in arrivals.

Questions and answers
How much is a helicopter ride in Dubai?
HeliDubai sets the flight price. On 17 October 2026 its site listed shared seats from AED 710 per person for 12 minutes up to AED 1,770 for 30 minutes. A whole helicopter for up to 5 passengers ran from AED 3,550 to AED 11,200 for 40 minutes. Its FAQ also mentioned a promotional 12-minute fare of AED 568. Assure quotes the car on WhatsApp.
Where do helicopter tours in Dubai take off from?
HeliDubai flies from its helipad inside Dubai Police Academy in Al Sufouh 1, opposite Mall of the Emirates on Sheikh Zayed Road. It is 9 km from Dubai Marina, 8 km from Palm Jumeirah and 16 km from Downtown Dubai by road. Your chauffeur drops you at the helipad and collects you there after the flight.
How long is a helicopter tour in Dubai?
HeliDubai sells flights of 12, 17, 22 and 30 minutes on shared or private helicopters, and a 40-minute route on private helicopters only. Add the 45-minute check-in and the safety briefing before take-off. Including the drive from Dubai Marina or Downtown and back, a 12-minute flight takes about 2 hours of your day.
Can children fly on a helicopter tour?
Yes, from age 2. Under HeliDubai's terms every child needs a seat of their own and cannot sit on an adult's lap. Children aged 2 to 12 must fly with a guardian. In the car, UAE rules require a child seat for children under 4, so give each child's age when you book and the car comes ready.
Is there a weight limit on Dubai helicopter tours?
Yes. HeliDubai's safety limit is 115 kg per passenger per seat, and passengers over 140 kg cannot fly. Everyone is weighed at check-in, and seats are allocated by weight to balance the aircraft. If someone in your group is close to the limit, tell us before booking so we can check the operator's conditions first.
What happens if bad weather stops the flight?
If weather or other factors outside HeliDubai's control stop the flight, it can be cancelled at short notice without charge, then rescheduled or refunded. Cancelling yourself is different: under HeliDubai's terms, under 48 hours before costs 50 percent, under 24 hours costs the full price, and no-shows pay in full. Your quote states the terms for the car.
Can I go to the helicopter flight straight from the airport?
Yes, if the flight time leaves room. Your chauffeur meets you in DXB arrivals with your name on a board, and the drive to the helipad is about 35 km, around 45 to 50 minutes without traffic. Suitcases stay in the car's boot during the flight, because large bags are not allowed on board.
